Newene paid maltolts in Holyngbroke ward, Romney, from 1399 to 1422.2 He died at an unknown date before March 1423, but it was not until 1433 that Edmund Paschle, esquire, released to his widow (in association with Richard and Agnes Edyncham and their issue) land in various villages in Romney Marsh (including some at Middel, Ivychurch and Old Romney) which had once belonged to him.3
