Biography
Wallington’s name appears on the Bedford burgess roll of 1399 and is also on the list of jurors present in May 1401 at the mayor’s view of frankpledge. He had previously offered sureties of more than £20 for persons appearing before the court, which, as one of the wealthiest men in Bedford both then and in 1417, he could well afford to do. He was still alive in August 1427, when he witnessed a local deed.2
