Biography
Skipwith was a lawyer who presumably gained the Great Grimsby seat through his family connexions. His services were used by Louth corporation in 1609 in obtaining an inspeximus of its charter. He died between 24 Nov. 1619, when he made his will, and 3 Apr. following, when the will was proved in the Lincoln consistory court.
