Included in the list of Jacobites sent to the Pretender in 1721,1 Chichester was in touch with Atterbury’s agents during the plot of 1722.2 Returned for Barnstaple unopposed, he voted against the Spanish convention but was absent for the division on the place bill. He died 2 Sept. 1740.
