Biography
Descended from on old Hertfordshire family, seated at King’s Walden since 1576, Hale was returned for St. Albans as a Whig in 1713 but unseated on petition in favour of a Tory. Re-elected after a contest in 1715, he did not vote on the septennial bill, dying 2 Oct. 1717.
