Biography
Kemp, whose father acquired Ubbeston manor by marriage, stood unsuccessfully as a Tory for Dunwich in 1715. In 1721 his name was sent to the Pretender as a probable supporter.1 Returned for Suffolk in 1732, he voted against the Government on the excise bill in 1733 and for the repeal of the Septennial Act in 1734. He died shortly after being re-elected, 18 Dec. 1734.
