Biography
Seymour was put up for a vacancy at Cocker-mouth by his father, the Duke of Somerset. There was a double return, on which he was awarded the seat by the House of Commons. In 1719 he voted with the Government on the repeal of the Occasional Conformity and Schism Acts, and on the peerage bill. He died of smallpox, 4 July 1721.
