Biography
Descended from a court official, who purchased Radley in 1560,2 Stonhouse represented his county as a Tory for over thirty years, voting after 1715 against the Government in most recorded divisions, but being twice taken into custody by the serjeant at arms for defaulting in a call of the House.3 In 1721 his name was sent to the Pretender as a probable supporter in the event of a rising.4 He died 10 Oct. 1733.
