Biography
Turnor came of an ancient Suffolk family, who had moved to Essex, where his father bought Hallingbury.1 Re-elected in 1715 for Orford as a Tory, he voted against the Government in every recorded division. His name was sent to the Pretender in 1721 as a probable supporter in the event of a rising.2 He died 3 Dec. 1721.
